Marinated Flank Steak

This delicious flank steak is easy to make and delicious too!

Ingredients:

  • 1-2lbs of JJ Bison flank steak

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

  • 4 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 4 cloves of minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon thyme

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • 2 teaspoons salt (add 1 teaspoon if not using low sodium soy sauce)

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Put the flank steak in a gallon bag and add the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper then seal the bag and set in the fridge for 8 hours (or over!).

  2. Before you're ready to cook, take the steak out of the fridge until it's not as cold as the fridge (best for searing and an accurate temperature).

  3. Put your cast iron on the stove and add the olive oil, then turn on the heat to high until your cast iron starts to smoke.

  4. Remove the flank steak from the marinade and sear on the cast iron on both sides.

  5. Turn down the heat to low and cover the cast iron with a lid.

  6. When the meat reaches about ~5 degrees from where you'd like it to be, take it out of the pan and let it rest in a foil tent for about ~5 minutes or desired temperature is reached.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
